Questions about Mary, Blessed Virgin Mother of God

Questions about Mary
 The Blessed Virgin
Mother of God.

Who was the first person to feel, to rejoice and to accept our Savior?
Mary, the blessed Virgin announced in the Holy Scriptures
Genesis 3:15 - Isaiah 7:14 - Micah 5:2-3

Who is the Lord always with?
Luke 1:28 The Lord is with You! (Mary)

Who has won favor with God?
Luke 1:28 Archangel Gabriel said to her: Hail O favored one.

Who is blessed among all women?
Luke 1:42 Blessed are you among women.

Why do we have to call her blessed?
Lk 1:48 All generations shall call me blessed.

To whom has the Lord done great things?
Luke 1:49 The Lord has done great things for me.

What are the great things the Lord has done for Mary?
A human being, by the power of the Holy Spirit has conceived the Son of God who is the Third person of the Holy Trinity, God Himself.
Mary is saying: the Lord, God has made me his mother, also the mother of all his children, also the Queen who sits at the right hand of the King. These are the greatest things that ever happened to any human being.

Who asks herself why she should be honored by a visit from the mother of her Lord? Is that an honor? Is she venerating her?
Luke 1:43 Elizabeth praises God for the gift of the visitation, the Mother of God is bringing God before her. The first miracle is the sanctification by the Holy Spirit of John the Baptist who leaps for joy in Elizabeth's womb.
The second miracle is that with the Presence of Mary, God is there too, as He fills Elizabeth with his Holy Spirit.
When we invoke the help of Mary, we receive not only her visitation but also the visitation of our Lord.
Elizabeth venerates Mary because she acknowledges the Presence of God with her, just as the shepherds also adored the King in the Presence of Mary his mother when they went to see him after his birth.

Can we see how the Holy Spirit speaking through Elizabeth is confirming that the Lord, the Messiah, God Himself in his humanity, is the Son of Mary?
Luke 1:43 And why is it granted to me that the mother of my Lord (my God) should come to visit me?

By Mary's visitation to Elizabeth, who is sanctified in her mother's womb and who is filled with the Holy Spirit?
John the Baptist was anointed by the Holy Spirit before his birth, during the visitation of Mary who is always with the Lord. The gift of her visitation is the Holy Spirit who filled Elizabeth with words of wisdom.

What is the meaning of the word Christ?
Christ means the perfect man, born of a woman and also the Son of God, who at the same time is One with the Father, therefore He is God, the Word who became flesh, and who is rightly the Son of Mary. This is why the Fathers of the Church agreed to call Mary by the title "the Mother of God".

Who has been overshadowed by the Holy Spirit, (anointed before Christ?)
Luke 1:35 The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the shadow of the Most High will overshadow you.

Why did she say "but how can this come about (Luke 1:34, that I conceive) since I have no knowledge of man?
Explanation: I am a virgin, I have no intentions of losing my virginity for the sake of having children. However, here I am Lord, I have come to do your will.

Was Mary a faithful spouse to the Holy Spirit?
A faithful woman remains faithful to her earthly husband. Mary became the spouse of the Holy Spirit by offering her humility, purity and virginity (How shall this be, since I have no husband, Luke 1:34), her spousal is of infinite ramifications since she has spoused God in the person of the Holy Spirit. She remained a virgin after giving birth, to continue her total surrender to God and to give spiritual birth to all the children of God through Him.
In the order of nature all children have a mother and a father, it is therefore the same in the order of Grace, we have God as our Father and Mary as our Mother.

Would it be all right for Mary to have marital relations with Joseph, knowing that she was already the faithful spouse of the Holy Spirit and the mother of God the Son?
Mary was chosen to be the Mother of God, because she was perfect in obeying the will of God. She would not betray her divine husband for the sake of a man. The marriage between Joseph and Mary took place in the divine plan in order to protect the publicity of the holy virgin announced in the Holy Scriptures who would give birth to Emanuel, God with us (Isaiah 7:14)
Joseph was a chaste man, who respected Mary highly since he was given revelations about Mary and Jesus by the angel of God (Matthew 1:20), he accepted the special holy mission to help the promised Messiah and his mother.

What comes first, the hen or the egg?
If we don't have a hen in the first place, we don't have the egg, and yet the egg is needed to produce the hen. But of course in the order of creation, God created the hen first, so that it would lay eggs.
This is rather a simple and disrespectful analogy, however it helps us to illustrate that without Mary, we would have no savior, Mary was a simple creature who would give birth to God in human form. Christ could have come to the world unaided by any human being, but he did not, this was part of his humilitiation, to become like one of us and to empty himself on the cross to save us. The importance of the cooperation of the holy virgin is very obvious and deserves our constant thanksgiving.
No Mary, no Jesus. No Jesus, no salvation. No Mary, no Heavenly Mother. No Heavenly Mother?, we would be incomplete children in the spiritual order, which gives us our Heavenly Father and our Heavenly mother. (Matthew 6:10: on earth as it is in heaven)

What came first in the order of Salvation: Jesus or Mary?
We are saved by Jesus, but Mary was the dawn of our Salvation, she has provided us with the heavenly medicine for our spiritual infirmities, she has given us her Son.

Would we have a Savior if Mary had not consented to God's proposal?
Definitely not.
God spoke about the woman who would crush the head of the devil. Mary had been announced from the very beginning, as "the woman". Genesis 315
Luke 1:38
You see before you THE LORD'S SERVANT
THE HANDMAID OF THE LORD, Be it done unto me
according to thy word.

Psalm 116:16 (Jesus )
I am your servant and my mother (Mary) was your servant, for I am (Jesus) your servant, son of your serving maid.
Here I am! I am coming to do your will.

What is the meaning of the word Gospel?
Good news.

What is the first gospel of the Bible, the proto evangelium?
The first good news came after the fall of man in Paradise. When God spoke to the serpent promising that the woman would crush his head.

Genesis 3:15 I will put enmities between thee (the devil) and the woman (Mary), and thy seed (children of the devil) and her seed (children of Mary, children of God): she shall crush thy head (through the death of Christ on the cross), and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel (the devil will be at war with Mary and her children).

Is this package of salvation showing Christ only?
It is very evident that God is already giving credit to the woman although she can do nothing on her own, therefore the package of salvation involves Jesus as our savior and redemptor, but also Mary as our co-redemptrix because of her cooperation in our salvation. God humbly hides the message of the coming of Christ, just as Jesus was humbly hidden in the womb of the Blessed Virgin.

Is God prophesying that there will be two kinds of children?
The children or offspring of the devil and the children or the offspring of Mary.
This Bible passage (Genesis 3:15) explains very clearly the division of humanity between the children of God who are Mary's children, starting with the Messiah, and the other group of the children of the devil who reject Christ as their savior and Mary as their mother.

Who is predicted in the Bible to have offspring to crush the head of the devil? Genesis 3:15 - Micah 4:13
When scripture says that She shall crush the serpent's head, it refers first to the triumph of Mary´s humility over satan's pride, opening the way for the encarnation of Jesus the Son of God. The triumph of Mary is repeated in all her children as we win the battle over evil crushing the head of the enemy.

Song of Solomon 6:9-10
Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?
Obviously the answer is Mary, since she is the dawn of the new era of salvation predicted by the Lord, she is fair as the moon since she reflects the brigthness of the moon implying her humble human nature, since she is only a human being, but she has been given the power of God to fight evil, therefore she is mighty as an army in array because she is together with her children, the children of God.

What woman appears in the Heavens: crowned with twelve stars, (a queen), standing on the moon (showing herself as the Queen of Heaven and earth), dressed with the sun (Jesus is the sun of Justice), And this occurs even before Jesus is born? Revelation 12

Isaiah 66:7
What woman before being in labor has given birth?
Whoever heard of such a thing,
whoever saw anything like this?
Can a nation be born in one day?
Can a nation be brought forth all at once?
FOR ZION (MARY THE NEW EVE) SCARCELY IN LABOR,
HAS BROUGHT HER CHILDREN!
Isaiah 4:3 Those who are left in Zion (Mary)
and remain in Jerusalem (The Church founded on the Apostles [Catholic]) will be called holy.
Read Micah 4:8 - 10

What is the real labor that Mary is in?
Mary is giving birth to all the children of God, this causes great pain to her since this is a spiritual child birth, this happens during the passion, culminating at the moment when Jesus makes her the mother of all the children of God by saying "woman this is your son"

What is the sword that was profecied to pierce the soul Mary? Luke 2:35
The agony of the passion of Jesus and the pain of child bearing prophesied by the Lord as she begot the children of God in Calvary.

Who are the children of Mary?
Rev 12:14 the male child [Jesus]
Rev 12:17 the rest of her children.
John 19:27 Jesus said to his mother, Woman this is your son, to John his disciple , Jesus said This is your mother.
By this declaration of Jesus, any disciple of Christ who goes to Calvary with him receives his mother, (by meditating in his passion and accepting his sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins, by eating his flesh and drinking his blood in the humble sacrament of the Holy Eucharist).
He who receives Mary from Jesus as his mother, takes her into his home which is his heart.

Who are the enemies of Mary, the offspring of the devil?
The sons of pride, whose king is the devil (Job 41:34),
The enemies of Zion, Micah 4:10-11
Psalm 129:5 May all who hate ( Zion - Mary) be put to shame.
Those who reject her as Mother,

Who is a disciple of Jesus?
A follower of Jesus, one who also accepts his mother as John did.

John 8:31 If you make my word your home, you will come to know the truth and the truth will set you free.

Where did the Word made a home?
The Word became flesh and dwell amongst us, but first dwell in Mary.

Who is the mother of Jesus? Is Jesus not God? Is Mary not the mother of God?
Since Mary is the Mother of Jesus, and Jesus is God, Mary is the Mother of God. Now some will argue that God has no beginning, therefore he has no mother, but if Jesus is God and to become man he accepted a mother, therefore God has a mother and that mother is Mary.

Who are the brothers and sisters of Jesus?
Luke 2:49 Anyone who does the will of my Father in Heaven, he is my brother and sister and Mother. Yes my mother has done the will of God.

In this Bible passage, Jesus is actually exalting his mother as one who has done the will of God, he is inviting us to to the same in order to become his brothers.

Who did the will of God first?
Mary did, therefore the Word became flesh in her virginal womb.

If we do the will of God, do we become Jesus' brothers?
Yes, that is what Jesus taught us in Luke 2:49, and that makes us also the children of Mary.

If we are Jesus' brothers, do we have the same mother Jesus has?
We could not be brothers of Jesus and no have Mary as our Mother, some would like to be his brothers by accepting God the Father and rejecting Mary as Mother, but that is not the will of God.

Is not the will of Jesus that we behold his Mother? John 19:27
If in the order of nature we have a mother, in the spiritual order Jesus has given us a mother and he has become our brother, so that we are truly the family of God.

What is the purpose of our Salvation?
To belong to the family of God by becoming God's children, children of light and children of Mary.

Who was the first Christian?
Mary was the first one to acknowledge Christ as the Saviour, the Messiah, therefore she was the first Christian.

Who gave bread to the bread of Life?
Isn't that something beautiful, that Mary a mere creature would be given so high a ministry of feeding the author or our existence?

Who breastfed the food of our souls?
Mary was given such privileges of nurturing physically the one who is the food of our souls.

Who nourished and cared for our Savior?
O, Mother Mary, what a noble job you had.

Who knew that Jesus had the power to perform miracles and suggested him to perform the first one?
It was truly an act of intersession to ask for a miracle, therefore Mary knew about the supernatural powers of Jesus, she actually initiated him in his public ministry. She cared for those people in Cana, she said to Him: "they have no wine". Jesus turned the water into wine. This is why we Catholics trust in the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and have devotions to her.

Was Jesus obeying Mary or was He simply displaying his powers when he performed the first miracle?
Jesus was obedient to the will of God his father, but he also respected and obeyed the will of Mary.

Was the first miracle of Jesus important?
The greatest importance of this miracle is to demonstrate the power of intercession of Mary, so that if have no wine, that is, if we lack the living water of the Holy Spirit, we can come confidently to Our Lady, who will intercede before God with proven success.

Can you see the power that Mary has on Jesus by being able to persuade him to act, in other words can you feel the power of her intercession before Him?
This is the great gift that Jesus has given us, not only has he saved us, that he has given the Holy Spirit, but he has also given us his mother to be our mother, so that we are not left orphans (John 14:18).

John  6:53
So Jesus said to them, "Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

Where does the flesh and blood of Christ comes from, if not exclusively from Mary?

Do Catholics worship Mary?
This is an accusation made to those who venerate Mary, by those who don't understand the Catholic Faith. Catholics worship God only, Mary is our Mother, the mother of all the children of God, in her we find refuge, help , protection and intercession.
To worship Mary would be to offend God very gravely, however we are grateful to her for having given us Jesus, and for being the quickest way to him.
Marian devotions honour her and seek her maternal help, they actually bring us closer to God because by honoring Mary we honor God too, She is intimately united to the Holy Trinity so that by being in love with her, we are also in love with God. The more we love Jesus, the more we love his mother, the more we love Mary, the more we love Jesus. There is absolutely no danger in Marian Devotions.

Galatians 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!".
The same Holy Spirit of the Son also makes us feel love for our Heavenly Mother.

Praise God!
