Today (2/28/2000) Tom Thimgan, our worship leader, damaged his left hand at work. He sharpens saws, blades, etc , for a living, and got his hand caught up against a grinder. It tore up the back of his left hand pretty severely, leaving him unable to play guitar at this point. God only knows if he'll ever be able to play again! I ask for prayer for Tom and his family, and Calvary Chapel of Phelan's Worship team. I (Drew) am very busy with full-time school, finishing my B.A. to start a new teaching career, and working full time. Dave Enos, the other worship leader/electric guitar player, just started a new job that finally enables him to fully support his family. Neither of us is in a position to take over as worship leader at this time.Neither of us wants to "jump the gun" on God's will, anyway. Pray that God would enable us to find His solution and Will in all this. No one is freaking out, we all know God didn't go "Oops!", and we're sure that Jesus knows best, but we need your prayers and support. Tom is especially discouraged that he may never be able to play guitar again. Please remember him daily in your prayers.
