Who do the people say that I am?

Who do the people say that I am? Catholic Gospels - Matthew, Luke, Mark, John - Inspirations of the Holy Spirit Luke 9:18-24

18 And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples also were with him: and he asked them: Who do the people say that I am?
19 But they answered, and said: John the Baptist; but some say Elias; and others say that one of the former prophets is risen again.
20 And he said to them: But who do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered: The Christ of God.
21 But he strictly charging them, commanded they should tell this to no man.
22 Saying: The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the ancients and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day rise again.
23 And he said to all: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
24 For whoever will save his life, shall lose it; for he that shall lose his life for my sake, shall save it.
25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gains the whole world, and loses himself, and casts away himself?

Inspiration of the Holy Spirit - From the Sacred Heart of Jesus

12th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Who do the people say that I am? I still ask the same question to you now. Who do you think that I am? Who do people say that I am?

Enlightened by the knowledge of the Holy Scriptures, by the tradition of the Church, and aided by the faith in your heart you must allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you Who I am.

I am who I am, the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega, the One who was, the One is and will be forever. I am the source of life for all living things; I am the Light of the world, the truth and the hope of everyone.

I am the vine and you are one of the branches, so you may see that cut off from me you are nothing; you must understand that you need to be in me so that I may be in you and you may live on and on.

Without me there would not be existence, since I am the source of existence. I am existence itself. I am the Master of time, space and Eternity. Matter and Spirit are in my hands. I am the Supreme Architect of the Universe, the mind that controls reality.

It is very complex for the mind of man to understand the holy mysteries that explain me, and yet with the help of the Holy Spirit you come a step closer every time you come to me in prayer and every time you do something to please me.

While I was in the world, I loved humanity without limits; I became the victim that expiates the sins of the whole world by my sacrifice in Calvary.

Since I am sharing all my possessions with you and am offering the gift of immortality and eternal joy; it is only fair that I make you partaker of my cross for a little while, so that by contemplating my afflictions and sharing in my sufferings you purify yourself to be worthy to be with me forever.

Do not oppose my Will but accept all my providential gifts, including the cross. By living a life of imitation of my virtues, you will be preparing solid grounds for your future life. I will be the Good Shepherd leading you through green pastures, protecting you from the storms of life and taking you by the hand to the promised Holy Land.

Follow me!
