The Holy Gospels explained by Jesus

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

God has revealed his word to his prophets throughout the ages, his testimony is great and is officially recorded in the Holy Scriptures. In the New Testament God revealed himself through the incarnation of the Word in the person of Jesus. His good news are recorded in the gospels. After dying for our sins, Jesus ascended into Heaven and sent the Holy Spirit to speak in our hearts.

It is only by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that anyone can call Jesus Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit has guided the Church of Christ up until this very moment and will continue to do so until the end of times.

From time to time the Lord has spoken to little prophets and to humble souls messages that touch hearts and lead to conversion. The work of God is clearly shown in these messages which have been given with the purpose of teaching souls to accept the great gift of being children of God.

These messages are a spiritual formation that will mold any soul and will guide it to a complete and intimate relationship with God. They are being shared so that they can help the reader in his or her salvation and to assist others to come to God.

Anyone reading these pages will be transformed by the Grace of God, because the words of God are words of eternal life. These messages were given to a Catholic person, but they are recorded  for anyone from any religion, since we are all children of the same Father in Heaven.

The Holy Gospels explained by Jesus

After receiving daily messages from Jesus for several years, I decided to proclaim the Word of God making use of the Internet. The website The Work of God www.theworkofgod.org was created in 1998. Some of those messages were published on the website and recently became available in ebook format at www.theworkofgod.org/messages

I always wanted to write something about the gospels, but I was afraid of the work involved, I was planning to follow the Holy Mother Church in the 3 liturgical years which cover the gospels of St. Matthew, St. John, St. Luke and St. Mark.

The spirit of the Lord moved me to start this work on the third Sunday of Easter April 2005. Nothing to do with messages, I simply needed to preach the Word of God, it was only an inspiration at first.

The first gospel was Luke 24:13-35. By a strange coincidence, this gospel explains how the disciples of Emmaus were listening to Jesus on the Road as he explained the Holy Scriptures, they didn't know that He was Jesus, but at the end they confessed how their hearts burned as they listened. It was at the end that they recognized him in the breaking of the bread.

As I checked the following gospel and sat down to create a homily, my heart was burning with the presence of Jesus, I could not write the homily as I expected, it was Jesus dictating me what to write, as a result I finished the message and from then on, all gospel inspirations were coming from Jesus in the same way I receive other messages.

The final result is a compilation of the last 3 liturgical years of the Holy Mother Church. It is my joy to make this work available. With the permission of the Lord, I have converted it into an ebook to continue to finance the presence of the Work of God Apostolate on the Internet and to try to make the messages books available in hard copy.

The Holy Gospels messages may be studied according to the general index. You may also follow the liturgical years of the Catholic Church, Year A, Year B and Year C.
Note: Each Liturgical year starts the First Sunday of Advent, the last Sunday of November.

Yours in Christ
Joseph of Jesus and Mary
