When we get bad news from the doctor, it gets very scary, that disease may be the cause of our death. Sometimes the doctor gives someone so much time to live, it is the same as a death sentence. It must be a terrible feeling.
Our lives belong to God, we have been accustomed to thinking that they are our property instead of accepting that we can only live by the will of God. Great freedom can be achieved when we detach ourselves from our own life, it is as if a burden is lifted up and we are as light as the spirit. In fact, we are not the bodies as we see ourselves, we are immortal spirits living in our bodies. If we can think that way we will realize that the spirit is actually a prisoner in our bodies that is yearning to be free. When the perishable body dies, the imperishable spirit will rise. The freedom of the spirit is coming back to its source which is God the Father of all spirits.
If we condition our thinking in that manner, death will be welcome as the beginning or our new eternal life.
The Lord says:
Matthew 10:39
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Mat 10:39
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
 My dear child, do not be afraid.
I am God the eternal one, your Father who created you to be eternal.
Imagine for a moment the joy of the ugly maggot that is transformed into a butterfly. The maggot is of the earth, it is ugly like the human soul that bears the ugliness of sin, the butterfly has the freedom to fly and the beauty on its wings in the same way that the spirit has the eternal freedom of the life in heaven and the beauty of God's image.
It is necessary for the soul to be purified to enter into the spiritual perfection of heaven, I shed my blood to purify all souls from sin so that they may enter eternity with me.
Repent and prepare yourself for the beautiful life that I have prepared for you, where there is no pain, no fears, no worries, no limitations; where you will be in me and I will be in you, eternally.
