There is no sense in worrying.
Most of our worries and fears never materialize as we think, we exaggerate the consequences of our problems and create a bad world of confusion and uncertainty. When we worry we give power to our negative feelings and start creating despair in our lives. To worry debilitates our immune system, blinds our capability of reasoning well and takes us away from prayer.
What can we do to stop worrying and start living? (There's a good book by Dale Carnegie about this topic). But the answer is totally a spiritual matter.
Let us examine the words of Jesus, the Word of God, the one who said " let there be light" and the light was made, the one who created the heavens and the earth, the one whose word is infallible. His words are commands for those who follow Him.
The Lord says:
Do not worry!
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Do not worry anymore, I will solve your problems)
When you worry you cease to trust in me. I am the all-powerful God, I care for all my children, I don't want to see anyone suffering unnecessarily.
It is because you don't trust me that you isolate yourselves from me and forget how much I can do for you. Stop worrying, come to me and let me take care of you. Unburden yourselves to me and I will give you relief.
