The Blessed Virgin Mary:
My dear child, remember on this Holy Thursday the importance of the Last Supper, the last time that Jesus spent with the apostles in prayer and in celebration of the Passover Feast.
The Lord ardently desired to eat this Passover Meal with the apostles and indeed to share it with all men.
Christ is our Passover meal, as we eat his flesh and drink his blood we are purified from sin; we then can leave the Egypt of sin behind to enter into the Promised Land of milk and honey.
Today was established the New and Everlasting Covenant between God and his people. Today the Lord instituted the New Priesthood of the Order of Melchizedech which offers the true holy offering to God, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The Lord invites all his people to share in this holy mystery which is the salvation of men, as He offered for the first time the bread which becomes his flesh and the wine which becomes his blood as an unbloody enactment of the ultimate sacrifice in Calvary, continued in his Church through the Holy Eucharist.
The reality of this mystery is so evident to men because it was prefigured in the Old Testament by the sprinkling of blood of animals sacrificed to God.
The Lord came to live and to die as the true sacrifice that takes away the sins of the world.
The Lamb of God is the true High Priest before God, He is the true altar of worship and He is also the true victim immolated of his own free will for the salvation of men as an expression of his exaggerated Love.
Jesus truly loves the world, and He is still waiting for everyone to come and quench his thirst of Love.
