Prayer is the best way to communicate with God. If
we don't pray, we can not expect to have a good relationship with Him. On the other hand,
if we pray, meditate and live our prayers, we will discover a great treasure hidden in our
souls. Prayer is the key to it. The more we pray, the richer we will become.
When you are inspired to pray, you are receiving a call from the Holy Spirit to experience
the Love of God in a very intimate way.
If you meditate your prayers, you will be rewarded with great desire to live in the
Presence of God.+ +

Prayer is great food for
our souls, it is the fuel that keeps the fire of faith burning. No prayers, no contact
with God, and the result is an arid soul.
The Lord explained to the Apostles that some evil spirits could only be cast out by prayer
and fasting.
When we combine our prayers with alms giving, we have a great potential of having an
encounter with an angel of God, a supernatural experience as occurred
to Tobit and to
Cornelius.
Prayer with fasting is
good, but better than both is almsgiving with righteousness. (Tobit 12:8 When Archangel
Raphael explained why he had come to help Tobit).
In Acts 10:3 we see how
Cornelius was a devout man who feared God with all his household; he gave alms generously
to the people and prayed constantly to God. An angel of God appeared to Him.
Prayer is talking to God,
prayer combined with intense meditation, penance, fasting and almsgiving are good signs of
holiness, the typical ingredients required for a supernatural encounter with God the
Almighty. It has happened to many saints, it can happen to you too. Believe me...
When you pray, live your
prayer, enjoy it, pray slowly, pray with your heart, believe that you are talking to God or
to Our Lady and expect the unexpected, the Lord will take you seriously indeed.
